- Develop new rehabilitation programs for offenders
- Prepare risk assessments for patients

- Attending court to provide testimony as an expert
Education Requirements:
- A masters or PHD is needed in psychiatry to be licensed
- Certification from American Board of Professional Psychology
Training requirements:
- Must attend medical school
- Hold a residency in psychiatry
- Complete a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry
- Be part of a professional organizations like the AAPL
- Apply for voluntary certification from the ABPN
