Job duties:
- Conduct research on engineering aspects of biological systems in humans /animals
- Check safety of biomedical equipment
- Maintain or install biomedical equipment
- Develop computer hardware for medical science use
- Ability to interpret bioelectric data
- Advise the application of instrumentation in clinical environments
Education requirements:
- A masters in engineering or a related medical field
- Recommended to become a licensed bio-engineer
- Pass state examination
Training requirements:
- Training in engineering design
- Co-op or internship with a hospital preferred
Salary range:
- Between $35,166 and $64,299
